Symptoms

Server1 has RAFramework Agent services installed and configured. Then install RAFramework agent services on server2. After the configuration of second RA Agent on Server2, the V8_serviceagent entries of server1 are erased and replaced with server2. When rerun the configuration on server1, the reverse happens and the server2 entries are replaced by server1.

When starting the RAFramework Agent service on the server1 it gives the following error in the std_console_default.log file:
"java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Attempting to run server on wrong host: server1/xx.xx.xx.xx != server2"

Cause

This is a caused by a coding bug identified by Bug #12376450 CONFIGURATION OF DISTRIBUTED R&A FRAMEWORK BREAKS THE MAIN R&A.

Solution

This issue is planned to be fixed in 11.1.2.2.000 version.

Workaround:
1. On Server1 and Server2, update the hosts file (which is under C:/Windows/System32/etc/drivers/hosts folder) with the ipaddress and the hostname of both servers.
For Example, the hosts file on each server should be updated as below:

xx.xx.xx.xx server1.domain.com
xx.xx.xx.xx server2.domain.com

NOTE:
The hostname should be a fully qualified domain name
The hostname should be  in lower case only.

2. Run the Configuration on Server1.
3. Select Configure Database option under Reporting Analysis.
4. Select Reuse option to configure database.
5. Finish the Configuration.
6. Perform the step 2 - Step 5 on the second server.
7. Restart Hyperion Services.
