Symptoms
When the EAS Console is installed on a client machine, Business Rules does not appear in the list of available nodes in Enterprise View.Cause
This issue is caused by unpublished Bug:9801171 - EAS CONSOLE IS MISSING THE BUSINESS RULES NODE DUE TO MISSING LOGGING DIRECTORY and is fixed in 11.1.2.1. This problem can occur if the Administration Services Console is the only product installed in an EPM Oracle Home, because EPM System Installer does not install the common/log4j folder when Administration Services Console is installed alone.Solution
To workaround this issue:1. Download the attached file, loggers.zip.
2. On the machine where the EAS Console is installed extract the file to the following location:
\Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\common
You should now have the following structure:
\Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\common\loggers\Log4j
3. Start the EAS Console and you should now be able to see the Business Rules node.
