Symptoms

After Firefox browser 3.x was installed EPM System release 11.1.1.x stops working.

Cause

There is an EPM System Web UI compnent that is incompatible with Firefox 3.x.  The Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management System Release (11.1.1.3.0) Certification Matrix identifies support for Firefox 2.0.x only. 

Solution

You can mitigate this situation from happening by disabling Firefox automatic update.  From Firefox, click:

Tools > Options and click "Advanced"

In the "Update" tab, deselect "Automatically check for updates to: Firefox."
