Symptoms
Smart View will not connect to the HFM Office Provider.Error
When you enter the Smart View URL into a web browser, e.g. http://localhost/hfmofficeprovider/hfmofficeprovider.aspx (use localhost only if you are on the web server), you get a blank screen.
Changes
Installed PSU 102 for Hyperion Financial Management on a patched 11.1.2.1.0 environment.Cause
Certain configuration files are not replaced on install. This would only occur on a system that had previous patches installed prior to applying PSU 102.PSU 102 was re-issued to correct this problem.
Solution
To resolve this you will need to run the EPM System Configurator and reconfigure the HFM Smart View Provider- Launch the EPM Configurator on your HFM Web Server
- Deselect (uncheck) the "Check All" Box
- Expand "Financial Management"
- Check "Configure Web Server"
- Click Next
- Deselect everything except "Configure IIS to Enable Smart View Provider"
- Click Next twice.
