Financial Management component applications have not been correctly registered on the server during installation.

Solution

1. Check DCOM configuration by clicking on Start -> Run -> dcomcnfg), expand Component Services, then Computers, then My Computer and then DCOM Config. Check if applications CASSecurity, HFMAwbAgent, HFMServer, HFMService and HsvDataSource are registered (listed) under DCOM Config.
2. If HsvDataSource is missing open a MSDOS prompt and to change to the folder containing HsvDataSource.exe enter the command:
   
   cd c:\oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\products\FinancialManagement\Server
   then run
   
   HsvDataSource.exe /RegServer
3. Go back to the EPM System Configurator utility again and repeat the Configure DCOM step once more.

If the issue is not resolved by these steps, please contact Global Software Support with a full description of what can be seen from the configtool.log and which of the above mentioned components is listed or missing from the DCOM Config screen.
