Purpose

The steps provided in this document are used to correctly configure the EBS Adapter G4-C for FDM 11.1.1.2.00 

Questions and Answers

How to Import the Adapter?

1. Log into Workbench Win32
2. File -> Import
3. Find the EBS G4-C Adapter XML and open
4. Copy the .DLL and .TLB files to the HyperionHome\products\FinancialDataQuality\Adapters
5. File -> Register Adapter -> Point to the .DLL

What needs to be updated in the Adapter Settings?

1. Enter a valid database-server in the:  "Network Alias" option field
2. Enter a valid UserName and Password in the: "Schema/Password" option fields
3. Enter a valid set of bookx in the: "Set of Books" option field
4. Enter a valid Budget Version ID in the: "Budget Version ID" option field
5. Enter a valid Encumbrance Type ID in the: "Encumbrance Type ID" option field

What needs to be updated in the Control Tables?

1. Log into FDM Application
2. Choose Metadata -> Control Tables -> Periods
3. Choose the Adapter named "EBS-FIN-C"
4. Enter in the Target Per (M) field the Accounting Period-Name from EBS (Apr-05, Apr-2002, etc.)
5. Enter in the Target Per (D) field the Accounting Period Type (Month, etc.)
6. Enter in the Target Year field the Accounting Period Year (2002, 2003, etc.)
7. Update Grid
8. Choose Metadata -> Control Tables -> Categories
9. Choose the Adapter named "EBS-FIN-C"
10. Browse for the Balance Type in the Target Category Field (A, B, E)
