Symptoms

Running "Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management System Installer, Fusion Edition Release 11.1.2.0.0 for Microsoft Windows (32-bit)" on a Microsoft Windows 64 bit errors with:

Cause

The installer has detected this is a 64-bit server. The installation program will look for the 64-bit Java installed in %dirname%\jre\winAMD64.

Solution

To benefit from the resources available on a 64-bit server, it is recommended to install the 64-bit EPM components.

To run the 32-bit installer on a 64-bit server, rename the %dirname%\jre\win32 directory to %dirname%\jre\winAMD64.
