Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

How to register an existing Hyperion product such as (Essbase, Essbase Administration Services, ...etc) with Shared Services.

Solution

1. Go to locate the product_config.xml in this path:

Hyperion_Home\common\config\version\product\product_name

Note: The version should be 9.5.0.0. as we are in version EPM 11.1.1.x

For example; in case of  Essbase product, this path could be:

Hyperion_Home\common\config\9.5.0.0\product\essbase\9.5.0.0

2- Open the file product_config.xml and find the line:

 <property_name>=hubRegistration>Configured</property>

3- Change the word Configured to Pending.

4- Rerun 'startconfigtool.bat' or 'startconfigtool.sh' or the EPM System Configurator again and select the product. This enables you to reregister the product with Shared Services.
